Healthcare system in northern New Mexico is seeking two Laboratory Technical Supervisors.
One position is in the main medical center and will cover the 2nd and 3rd shifts;
the other position is a day shift position in a smaller hospital of the health system.
The Technical Supervisor will provide technical assistance in the laboratory; provide staff supervision; assist with personnel related functions; and occasionally may perform duties of a Medical Technologist.
Specific duties will include: monitoring and ensuring timely completion of function verification, preventive maintenance, and proper operations of equipment;
recognizing and resolving technical problems; recognizing complex problems and referring them to technical director;
assisting employees in the resolution of technical problems;
serving as a resource person; monitoring and assuring adherence to quality control measures, taking appropriate actions when necessary;
reviewing test results to ensure accuracy; providing supervision of the operation of the laboratory.
Prior experience in Lab Positions, Laboratory Jobs, Laboratory Director, Clinical Lab Jobs, Medical Lab jobs, Hospital Lab jobs is a plus.

Work Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and /or experience;
demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions assigned;
minimum 3 years experience as a Medical Technologist/Medical Technician in a laboratory setting, coupled with 1 year of supervisory, project lead, or lead role experience managing Med Techs.
Should have hospital-based experience and strong blood banking experience.
Prior experience in MT jobs, Lab Manager jobs , Laboratory Director jobs is a plus.
