Small hospital in southern Arizona is seeking a Laboratory Manager.
The Manager will plan, supervise and coordinate activities of the laboratory and will assure that the lab effectively performs all phases of testing;
will assure that laboratory staff, instrumentation, policies and procedures operate efficiently and provide quality services.
Overall, the Laboratory Manager should provide efficient and effective leadership by supervising daily laboratory operations.
The laboratory consists of 19 staff, including Medical Technologists, MLTs and laboratory assistants.
Some specific duties include: ensuring efficiency and timeliness in the provision of services by constant enforcement of inspecting agency standards; monitoring quality control charts, instrument function checks, and instrument maintenance protocols; repairing instrumentation and equipment; preparing monthly financial statements to ensure financial viability of the laboratory; assisting satellite laboratory services by answering technical questions, and in-services on new equipment and procedures and providing new product information.
Prior experience in Lab Positions, Laboratory Jobs, Laboratory Director, Clinical Lab Jobs, Medical Lab jobs, Hospital Lab jobs is a plus.

Qualifications include:
Graduate of Medical Laboratory Technologist program BS and ASCP certified or eligible;
or certified as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist;
or Associate Degree, 5 years of laboratory experience and certified by accrediting agency as Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
Prior experience in MT jobs, Lab Manager jobs , Laboratory Director jobs is a plus.
Salary:
Salary range is $75K to $85K depending on qualifications and experience
