Laboratory Assistant / Technician
Dahl-Chase Diagnostic Services, a private independent laboratory, is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Laboratory Assistant, Full-time, Monday - Friday, evenings. Qualifications: Individual should have experience in general laboratory practice including handling specimens. Minimum High School Diploma with an Associates degree preferred. Experience with Windows, a typing proficiency of 60 wpm, and medical terminology background. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Duties: Individual hired will work in a busy, fast paced laboratory, working with patient specimens. Individual will triage and transport specimens, and prep. specimens for testing. Will serve as a member of the bone marrow team and in-house FNA team. Must be detail-oriented and flexible with ability to multi-task and work in a team-oriented environment. Must have excellent communication skills (telephone, written and verbal); and also the ability to work well independently or as part of a team in an environment that is busy and sometimes noisy.
