Title: Clinical Educator - Central, Illinois/Ohio - Heart Valve Therapy

As the Clinical Educator you will educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and hospital staff on technical matters of the valve clinic program through conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one training sessions and in-service education programs.


Additional key responsibilities include:
* Provide training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training and education for their personnel ("train the trainer").
* Analyze the unique needs of each institution to determine approach and methods for implementation of protocols.
* Provide interpretive analysis and recommendations based on outcomes of data.
* Educate on how to integrate processes and procedures with affiliated clinics and hospitals.
* Provide training and mentoring to Edwards clinical educators.
* Design and deliver local and regional meetings and conference calls to provide valve disease and valve clinic education to clinicians and hospital administrators.
* As well as, training sales force including HVT and other business units.
* Identify best practices and tools unique to the various types of institutions for setting up valve clinic programs (e.g., academic, private, community, urban, rural, physician employed hospitals).
* Work with clinical educator team to develop PowerPoint presentations, databases, apps, and other tools to strengthen the valve clinic concept.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:
* A bachelor's degree in a related biological or life science discipline, or a nursing degree is required; MSN, RN, or clinical research certificate are preferred
* 4-8 years experience in healthcare industry (4 in clinical setting)
* Strong understanding of echocardiology, cardiology, cardiac surgery, primary care, internal medicine, and hospital administration
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives
* Build internal and external relationships, influence others, and solve problems
* Ability to communicate and relate well with key opinion leaders and clinical personnel
