The principal purpose of this position is to provide helpdesk support for all hardware and software for the regional user base. The major tasks include interacting with users on their requests and recording them in the tracking system as well as maintenance and configuration updates of desktop and laptop hardware and peripherals. This includes solving issues that have written procedures or are common knowledge within the IT team. Responsibilities:
* Configuration and Maintenance of Desktop Computing Systems (pc’s, laptops, printers, etc.) * Receiving calls (via phone and e-mail) and logging into database. * Provide trouble shooting for common user issues including hardware, software, or servers. * Provide prompt and courteous service for internal Kemin customers. Qualifications:
* Relevant technical hardware/software training (including advanced MS Windows and MS Office skills required). * Lotus Notes experience is preferred. * Undergraduate Degree with 1-3 years experience. Computer-related college degree with up to 3 years experience preferred. * ERP troubleshooting experience a plus (Lawson M3). * Active Directory Users and Computers administration a plus * Excellent customer service skills and phone skills are ideal. (Minimum English Proficiency of Advanced Low as defined in the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines. * Ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and climb stairs.

Working Conditions:The Information Technology Specialist 1 is based at Kemin Industries, Inc. headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa. The position is considered to be 40 hours per week, but requires tremendous flexibility including nights, weekends, and being on-call. Apply for this job:
