In-Home Aide - Cannon Community Alternative Program Department: Avery Home Care - 18025 Schedule: Full-time Shift: Shifts Vary Hours: Hours Vary Job Details: * Education and Formal Training: Equivalent to partial high school education or comparable brief vocational training. Less than 1 month experience. To provide personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, and other services specified in the plan of care to enable clients to remain at home. Work involves several tasks of varying magnitude which require different skills. Some effort in planning and scheduling of tasks to a limited degree. Basic procedures are written and followed. The nursing personnel perform patient care needs for all patients. Basic care includes bathing, hygiene, meals, weighing patients, and transporting patients to facility activities and possibly other facility areas. Completing basic care tasks require the nursing personnel to transfer patients who may require assistance out of bed, to a Geri chair, or to a shower chair. They may also be required to assist patients from bed to wheelchair, wheelchair to bed, bed to shower chair, and bed to stretcher. Practices good customer relation skills by responding to patients, visitors and hospital staff in a courteous, patient and caring manner.
