Job Overview Please Note: Hours are 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
Working under general supervision, provide human resource support, via phone and email, to employees and division HR personnel. Research and resolve questions about policies, processes and transactions. Utilize knowledge of HR systems to process transactions and create or delimit org units, positions and cost centers as needed.
Essential Functions: . Respond to employee and division HR questions received through inbound calls or emails; research questions and follow-up with the requestor as appropriate o Use procedures, policy manuals, knowledgebase and other reference materials to assist in answering employee/manager inquiries and resolving issues . Complete Human Resources, Benefits, and Payroll related transactions (data entry, filing, etc.) utilizing various systems: HRIS, Kronos, EIC, Access Management, and vendor systems as required . Create or delimit an org unit, position, cost center or job using SAP org mgmt tools. Change the reporting structure of org units and positions as required . Assist in the resolution of SAP HCM and Kronos errors to facilitate the processing of payroll. Identity incorrect data received on Personnel Action Forms and resolve prior to payroll run . Confirm data accuracy and maintain appropriate controls for audit verification . Assist employees with Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service applications including how to gain access through Secude . Make suggestions to update, simplify and enhance work and assist in the creation of processes, procedures, knowledge bases, and other reference materials as appropriate related to this . Document incoming calls using a case management tool (EIC) to resolve issues within identified service level agreements . Provide information to Access Management (AM) Team regarding employee status changes to assist the AM Team with controlling computer access . Verify student benefit eligibility and work with Corporate Benefits as needed . Escalate employee inquiries to HR subject matter experts when specific, in-depth functional knowledge is required . Maintain confidentiality and privacy of any personal or sensitive data
Other Duties: . Participate in special projects as assigned (open enrollment, system upgrades, testing, etc.) . Identify benefit process issues and work with Corporate Benefits Specialist and vendors as needed to resolve issues . Stay informed and updated about related policy changes and incorporate any changes in process as applicable . Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: . Associates Degree Required, Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or other related field preferred . 2+ years experience in a Human Resource position . Knowledge and understanding of HR, Benefits and Payroll processes . Experience with Kronos or other time and attendance software preferred . Experience with HRIS required; SAP HCM preferred . Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite . Strong analytical and problem solving skills . Persistent follow through on assignments . Strong listening skills . Customer service focus and strong interpersonal skills . Strong verbal/written skills and attention to detail . Ability to consistently deliver high quality customer service in a professional manner . Strong ability to handle confidential information .
