Job Description
Responsible for sales activities including new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory, limited industry or product line. Shares job expertise and provides guidance to other sales reps.
•Responsible for achieving sales quotas through the direct sale of the company's products or services. Implement sales strategies to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives.
•Calls on prospective customers, masters effective sales presentations, provide technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quotes appropriate customer prices.
•Monitors sales against forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential for the territory.
•Works closely with customer service and operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
•Provides feedback to immediate supervisor and marketing personnel for the development of marketing policy, recommended product and product line revisions as well as pricing changes.
•Promotes the Baxter Culture through positive ongoing relationships and activities.
•Provides feedback regarding product simplification and standardization to enhance profitability of sales line.
•Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
Job Requirements
Baxter seeks experienced sales representatives that have 5+ years of experience selling therapies and/or any injectable/IV drug. Key qualifications for a successful sales representative include:
•Accountability - Must have an entrepreneurial attitude; approaches territory as a business and takes full accountability for short and long term opportunities
•Strategic Time Management - Excellent time management skills required; uses a routing plan which insures border to border coverage
•Creative Solutions & Problem Solving - Identifies creative solutions to overcome challenges associated with (insurance challenges, home therapy companies, patient education groups, direct interaction with patients)
•Presenting Clinical Evidence - Communicates detailed clinical knowledge to customers in a consultative manner
•Follow up - Must be resilient and persistent; possess excellent follow up skills because the sales cycle can be quite long
•Business Planning - Conducts persistent and timely activities that are grounded in detailed analysis and understanding of the business environment
•Compassion - our sales representatives get very involved in their communities and patient education groups
