Responsible for non-clinical administrative, data management, and support services of a health services functional area. Required Skills
Support may be complex, detailed, technical and confidential nature. Prepares correspondence and reviews and edits written material. Conducts research assignments, compiles data, summarizes findings, and provides management with needed information. Responsible for data collection and / or data entry into computer system. Sorts and distributes faxes. Creates and maintains database, produces reports and maintains documentation. Answers inquires, gathers information, resolves routine matters, and responds to minor complaints or problems. Responsible for oversight of department files and records. May complete health assessments, maintain documentation for regulatory review, participate in education of member / providers regarding plan benefits, and make referrals to other departments. Files paperwork. May complete departmental statistics reports. May interact with other departments and external vendors. May be placed in inbound phone queue and/ or, place outbound calls to membership. Required Experience
Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent. At least three years experience in health services, customer service, claims, or managed care environment. Knowledge of managed care, medical management, policies and procedures. Intermediate skills in work processing, spreadsheet, and database development and maintenance. Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills. For Pharmacy, Certified Pharmacy Technician. Preferred Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree.
