We are currently seeking a Full-time Health Fitness Manager for one of our Corporate Fitness Centers in Danbury, CT!

The Health Fitness Manager's responsibility is to manage the overall operations of a single Fitness Center. The Health Fitness Manager will handle problem resolution, customer relations, exercise leadership, quality and safety assurance and program management.

Essential Functions:

• Must participate in optimal operation of the Fitness Center to meet and satisfy the client's needs.
  
• Must address customer issues and ensure effective and long term problem resolution and satisfaction.
  
• Must execute safe and effective fitness services.
  

• Must execute program plan to ensure satisfying client needs.
  
• Provide ""Best of Class"" customer service to all Fitness Center members according to the TCHS Exercise Leadership and Customer Service Standards.
  
• Provides exercise leadership expertise in the areas of supervised workouts, fitness testing and prescriptions and group exercise instruction according to the latest edition of the American College of Sports Medicine, Exercise Testing and Prescription Guidelines (fitness testing and exercise prescription), AFAA (for group exercise classes) and TCHS Exercise Leadership, Fitness Floor time Supervision and Customer Service Standards
  
• Build, develop and manage the fitness center staff to effectively deliver exercise leadership, Fitness Floor time Supervision and customer service initiatives.
  
• Compile all facility and program use information and provide requested reports.
  
• Manage site budget and report monthly spending.
  
• Provide guidance in equipment selection and replacement, and make recommendations as warranted. Establish a preventative maintenance contract and ensure compliance to maintenance guidelines.
  
• Lead in the establishment and implementation of a facility program and marketing plan.
  
• Establish fitness center adherence and incentive programs.
  
• Maintain updated TCHS manuals and submit annual Clinical Excellence Scorecard.
  
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in exercise related field, required
  
• 2+ years corporate fitness experience, preferred
  
• 1-2 years assistant management experience or program management experience, preferred
  
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification, required
  
• Demonstrated ability to teach group exercise classes and instruction on exercise floor.
  
• Demonstrate the ability to design, develop, deliver and evaluate programs and services
  

• Experience in, and ability to perform fitness assessments including: resting and exercise blood pressure and heart rate, body composition using skin fold calipers, muscular strength and endurance testing, sub-maximal cycle testing
  

• Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills
  
• Excellent presentation skills, confident in all settings with individuals at all levels of the organization both internal and external
  
• Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based programs
