QUALIFICATIONS * 1. High School Diploma * 2. Five or more years experience with transcription systems in an acute care hospital HIM Department * 3. Experience with Cerner and 3M Applications preferred.
MAJOR FUNCTION : Provides system administration support under the direction of the Transcription Supervisor and the HIM application specialist. Ensures patient records and protected health information are secure and confidential and made available only to authorized persons. Works closely with physicians, other departments and vendors to ensure optimal customer satisfaction through development and implementation of effective policies and procedures that affect HIM applications. Provides training and education to users.
