11 Total SDS/Pre-Op Beds
2 GI Procedure Rooms
Type of Procedures Performed: Assessment of Pre-op patients, monitoring of post-procedure GI and Radiology patients, Insertion of PICC lines, Assist with A-lines, Endoscopy cases
Major Equipment Used: Patient monitors, glucose monitors, ultrasound machine (for PICC lines), computers, IV pumps and supplies; video systems and endoscopes in Endoscopy
Special Certifications Needed: BCLS certification required
Special Competencies/Skills Needed: IV skills required
Schedules: 8-10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday (with on-call requirements for PICC line insertion and Endoscopy teams)
Dress code: Scrubs (individual provides their own)

Qualifications:
<Flexible schedule with varied start times ranging from 5:30am, 7am, and 9am. Typical 8-hour shifts. Built around a 40-hour work week with on-call rotations.>
Graduate of an accredited RN educational program with FL Board of Nursing GN Status recognition letter and A.T.T. (sit pass) for NCLEX-RN
Current certification as a BLS and ACLS Healthcare Provider certifications through the American Heart Association. NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification required--available online at .
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
