We have a current opening for a full time Social Studies teaching position will allow you to find purpose and give you room to grow in the largest not-for-profit provider of services to children and families inFlorida.
All TEACHERS are expected to implement our Philosophy of Care which is to provide: * Individual Services * Effective and Accountable Services * Utilize Positive Approaches
Teaching Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Overall Social Studies instruction of children and adolecent clients who have been diagnosed w/ a mental illness * Assist in the development and implementation of both short and long term goalsfor students * Assign duties for 2 Devereux Direct Care Staff to do in the classroom as they assist teacher w/ daily activities * Model/teach and perform and route staff to descalate "crisis" behaviors of students * Provides leadership and serves as a role model to all clients and DCP staff * Completes student performance assessments in a timely and consistent manner
