Floor Tech Department: Environmental Services Schedule: Full-time Shift: Evenings Hours: 3p-11:30p Job Details: * PRIMARY PURPOSE: Refurbishes hard carpeted floor surfaces in accordance with procedures and work schedules established by the Environmental Services Department and consistent with Lane Regional Medical Center's Mission and Vision Statement. EDUCATIONAL AND/OR PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience preferred but not required. SPECIAL SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work all assigned shifts, weekends and holidays. Must be willing to be cross-trained in additional job classifications at management's discretion. Environmental tolerance of heat, humidity, noise, odors and exterior weather conditions. EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS KNOWLEDGE: General purpose housekeeping equipment, vacuum cleaner, dust mop, wet mop, etc. Floor care equipment, burnisher, buffer, auto scrubber, extractor, etc. Office equipment, personal computer, other office equipment and safety equipment related to the position. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand, climbing steps and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics.
