Sacred Heart Hospital located in Pensacola, FL has long been the region’s leader in providing surgical services since 1972, when our hospital performed the area’s first open heart surgery. More recently, we have been the region’s leader in performing “off-pump heart surgery” where coronary bypass surgery can be performed without stopping the heart. Earlier this year, HealthGrades ranked Sacred Heart among the top 5 percent of all U.S. hospitals for clinical excellence (2011). The hospital also has been rated among the top 10 percent in the nation for critical care for two years in a row (2011-2012). Our skilled surgical teams work in state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with the latest diagnostic and surgical equipment. Sacred Heart Hospital also is fortunate to have talented pediatric surgeons, pediatric dentists, pediatric orthopedic surgeons and other specialists with specialized training in performing surgical procedures on children.
Approximately 50 cases are performed each day in our OR. Surgeries include: GYN/URO, general, orthopedic, neurology, plastics/ENT, and open heart/PV.

At Sacred Heart the RN administers and documents direct patient care within an organized nursing unit in accordance with medically prescribed therapy, hospital policy and with parameters set by the Florida Nurse Practice Act.

Education/Certifications:
- Florida RN License
- BCLS Certified
- ACLS
- At least 2 years RN experience required
