Opportunity Parsons is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to direct soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects for our petroleum, chemical, oil and gas, and manufacturing clients in the Bay area and Northern California. The selected candidate will have experience in remedial investigations, feasibility studies, data quality assessments, risk assessments, remedial alternative analyses, remedial design, construction, subcontractor management, operation and maintenance, and cost estimating. You will be working under the direction of our program and portfolio managers and be managing multiple project teams to assure scope/quality/budget/schedules are met on project deliverables. As such, you will plan and oversee field work, including sampling, drilling, well installation, soil, groundwater and free-phase product assessment, vapor intrusion assessment, remedial pilot tests, and remedial system construction oversight. You will also lend your experience in the design of remedial systems and negotiate remedial solutions using innovative and emerging remedial treatment technologies as well as traditional systems. Local candidates preferred.
You will help prepare technical proposals and develop and maintain scope, budget and schedules for multiple projects using spreadsheets and project scheduling software. In addition you will participate in business development meetings with existing clients and identified leads. You abilities to manage environmental projects, guide project teams, interface with regulatory agencies and maintain excellent client relationships will be keys to your success.
Qualifications:
10 years experience in environmental consulting, with progressive project management experience for complex site investigation/remediation projects
Familiarity with project scheduling software such as Primavera and MS Project
Bachelors degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related discipline required and masters degree preferred
Professional registration in CA, PE or PG preferred
Experience with CA regulators including RWQCB and DTSC
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and commitment to safety
