Job Description: Job Duties: The incumbent will utilize advanced knowledge and experience to perform the following: Independently develop and evaluate calibration systems that test and verify complex measurement characteristics of precision measuring equipment to include voltage, current, resistance, inductance, capacitance, power, frequency, waveform, time, length, mass, temperature, pressure , and vacume. Operate, align, troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul, calibrate, and certify diverse, precision measuring equipment including laboratory primary working standards ensuring methods used are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Operate, modify, or write local and commercial automated calibration software program. Update and maintain inventory tracking database of all test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment supported. Perform minor supply actions to obtain/maintain stock levels of repair parts and supplies. Minimum Qualifications: Must have Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 10 years of PMEL experience. Excellent communications and analytical skills. Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Must be able to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software. Must be able to qualify for and maintain a TS/SSBI security clearance. Must be able to lift and carry 40+ pounds over a short distance. Desired Qualifications: 10+ years recent PMEL experience with advanced RF and microwave measurement experience or physical/dimensional training. ASQ Certified Calibration Technician. ICET certified technician. Possess currently active clearance.
