Plumas District Hospital is recruiting for a per diem Emergency Room RN, variable shifts. DUTIES: Responsible for the delivery of nursing care to ER patients, including patient triage, patient assessments, preparing patients for examination, assisting with procedures and administering medications. Provides leadership by working with personnel in maintaining standards for professional practice in the emergency setting. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Current California RN license, BLS, ACLS & PALS required; TNCC and MICN desirable. Minimum of one year ER or critical care nursing experience. Ability to utilize the nursing process in the provision of ER nursing care including but not limited to administering treatments and medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating a plan of care, collaborating with other health care providers and providing education to patients and/or significant others. The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will be required to successfully complete competencies for this position. This includes but is not limited to Five-Level Triage Acuity Scoring, Broselow Tape, conscious Sedation and Restraints. Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions required. Must meet physical requirements and other qualifications as listed on the Job Description.
