Job Details: Job Summary: The AMG Electronic Health Record (EHR) Clinical Support Specialist is an expert in two areas: the first being the use of the Centricity EMR electronic health record application and the second being workflow development, implementation, and enhancement. Expertise in both areas allows the AMG EHR Clinical Support Specialist to facilitate relevant information exchange for the use of the electronic health record in day-to-day operations at clinic sites.
The AMG EHR Clinical Support Specialist will perform the Healthcare Associate clinical job duties. This is an important aspect of the role in maintaining the operational relevancy of the electronic health record application and work processes.
The AMG EHR Clinical Support Specialist role assists with support in implementation of the EHR at sites as they learn, adapt to, develop and ultimately utilize the application and workflows. AMG EHR Clinical Support Specialists will also be involved in developing/maintaining workflows and recommending enhancement requests for the Centricity EMR application.
Job Requirements: Licensed as a LPN or Certified as a medical assistant required. Valid WI driver's license required. Experience and operational knowledge as a Healthcare Associate, LPN, or CMA working with all patient populations is required. Previous experience working with an electronic health record is preferred. Possess the desire to provide coaching and support to staff and providers so they may become more proficient in using the electronic health record in their work. Shows use of creative, out of the box problem-solving techniques in addressing opportunities that become present. Ability to document software functionality and operational work flow in a manner that is clear, well presented and "ready-for-application" by the end user. Demonstrated patience with individuals who require additional assistance in the introduction and orientation to a new way of doing work. Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive out-look and a clear focus on high quality outcomes. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with all levels of an organization from staff to executives. Reliable, tolerant, patient and determined approach to responsibilities. Empathic communicator who is able to see things from other's point of view.
