What You Will Do as a Director, Sales Operations


 


Position Summary:


 


The role of the Director, Sales Operations is strategic to the enablement and success of NaviSite’s sales organization across both the direct and indirect channels.  This position entails working closely with senior leadership across all facets of the company to design, implement, and execute various sales enablement initiatives aimed at helping NaviSite achieve its sales and churn targets.

More specifically, this individual will be responsible for working closely with SVP, Sales and SVP, Operations to manage sales territory alignment, compensation planning and design, compliance, adoption/leverage of the underlying CRM system (), reporting and analysis of key sales metrics, and design/execution of quarterly/annual sales program and incentives.  The individual will also be responsible for owning the end-to-end quote to close process, and coordinating with various internal teams across Finance, Legal, HR, Implementations, Service Delivery, etc. to ensure timely booking and processing of outstanding sales orders.


 


In addition, this individual will work closely with the SVP of Operations to oversee and manage other cross functional initiatives that help the company achieve greater operational efficiency.


 


Other responsibilities include:


 


-       Design and manage standardized and scalable processes and policies that motivate employees and ensure priorities are aligned with overall organizational goals across Sales, Marketing, and Service Delivery


-       Develop and define key metrics and reporting systems, and facilitate weekly, monthly, quarterly sales reviews and performance analysis to gauge execution and adjust sales strategy.


-       Develop processes to support monthly and quarterly forecasting and ensure data consistency and hygiene in the underlying CRM system


-       Manage all aspects of sales tools including the CRM/SFA (Customer Relational Management /Sales Force Automation) environment to enhance sales rep effectiveness and productivity.


-       Assume primary responsibility for structuring and executing major operational and strategic initiatives; developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses, and developing final recommendations, program manage execution across cross-functional teams


 


What We Are Looking For in a Director, Sales Operations:


 


Ideal candidates will have:


 


-       8+ years of experience in sales (or similar) operations experience; at least 3 years in a sales (or similar) operations leadership role in a technology setup


-       Hands on experience with the creation of scorecards, quarterly reports, and various indicators that provide actionable visibility at both executive and tactical levels


-       Good understanding of sales compensation plans and associated financial structuring


-       Proficient knowledge of , strong Excel skills


-       Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently with global teams that span offshore resources


-       Excellent verbal/written English communication skills
