Through our regional office in Bemidji, Minnesota and local offices in Crookston and Moorhead, REM North Star, a partner of The Mentor Network, offers home and community-based services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilites, as well as autism spectrum disorders, mental health issues, physical disabilites with complex medical needs and brain injury. We offer a range of residential services with supports tailored to the needs of each individual as well as hourly support services designed to allow those we serve to be as independent as possible.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) with REM North Star you'll be one of those special people.
DSPs are the link to the community for those they serve. For some, they may be the eyes of those unable to see, or the voice for those who can't speak. For others, they are friend, cheerleader and subtle support on the path to one's true potential.

REM North Star is seeking Direct Support Professionals/Caregivers to provide assistance to REM North Star in a community-based setting. DSPs provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal care. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
Qualifications Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
- Six months of experience in human services preferred
- Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
