Description Every person needs the support of others, but we look for very special people to support
men with TBI . Applicants must have a solid year or more experience working with individuals with mental health needs. As a
Direct Support Professional (DSP) with
REM South Central Services you'll be one of those special people.
Evening shifts, typically 4-10pm week nights and every other weekend. This position pays $8.75.DSPs are the link to the community for those they serve. For some, they may be the eyes of those unable to see, or the voice for those who can't speak. For others, they are friend, cheerleader and subtle support on the path to one's true potential.

REM South Central Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals/Caregivers to provide assistance to
men with TBI in a community-based setting. DSPs provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal care. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
Qualifications Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
- One year or more of experience working with individuals with mental health needs.
- Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
