Description General Summary: Operates diagnostic equipment and performs a variety of technical diagnostic imaging procedures related to CT. Provides patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test. Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests inclusive of positioning patient, calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings, with the direction of the imaging supervisor/manager. Assists patients with basic patient care needs. Provides emergency care, notifying appropriate personnel and ensures that patient safety is not jeopardized.
Requirements: - Successful completion of a two-year Radiology program. - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). - Registered in Computed Tomography (CT) required. - Licensed by Texas Department of Health as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT). - Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty (ies) as appropriate. - One-year experience as a CT Technologist. - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
