Unit Description: The Birthplace at Christus Schumpert has an 8-bed LDRP Unit with two dedicated operating suites and two 2-bed recovery rooms for a total capacity of 12 beds. Our labor unit utilizes a birthing room model of care, in which our patients labor, deliver, and recover in the same suite.
