Founded in 1986, Family Advocacy Services (FAS) is a community-based mental health agency that provides a range of treatment programs for at-risk youth and their families throughout Virginia. FAS offers Therapeutic Foster Care with ""Wrap-Around"" support services for children and their biological families when possible. FAS also offers intensive home-based and outpatient services to help stabilize families and prevent out of home placements or support successful reunifications.

Family Advocacy Services of Virginia is seeking a
Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical supervision to therapists or behavioral health services staff, including overseeing the therapy or behavioral health services provided to clients, development and implementation of service plans and ensuring the quality of the services provided to individual clients. Clinical Supervisors regulatory review documentation to ensure compliance and proactively address any client issues with respect to therapeutic or behavioral health services. The Clinical Supervisor also oversees staff as assigned.
Qualifications Requirements:- Licensed by the Virginia State of Social Work Examiners as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Certified as a sex offender treatment specialist or substance abuse counselor preferred
- Six (6) years experience in the provision of clinical and administrative services in the child welfare system. Two (2) years minimum supervisory experience
- Expert knowledge of social work principles and methods especially as they relate to Therapeutic Foster Care for Sexually Reactive and/or Emotionally Disturbed children
- Working knowledge of Virginia Foster Care System, CSA and FAPT process, Juvenile Justice System and related community resources
- Ability to express self clearly, both orally and in writing
- Demonstrating the ability to work effectively with emotionally challenged adolescents and their natural and/or foster families using a variety of clinical modalities
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, peers, students, families and outside agencies
