General Description: The Infectious Diseases Clinical Specialist provides pharmaceutical care services to the patients of Parkview Health. Services include, but are not limited to, oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing, and proper documentation of patient medication therapy, as well as advising physicians on matters pertaining to drug usage and control within assigned hospital locations and providing drug information, patient information, and oversight of information and dispensing processes and systems. Collaboration with various committees throughout the system including, but not limited to, Pharmacy & Therapeutics and Infection Prevention is expected. Active development and maintenance of best medication management practices is expected, with emphasis on antimicrobials. The Infectious Diseases Clinical Specialist plays an integral role in the education of pharmacy residents and Pharm.D. candidates. Must hold or be eligible for a valid and current license as a Registered Pharmacist from the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
Schedule: Full-time days, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with every fourth weekend required.
