The Project Manager has responsibilities in all five phases of the Evidence Based Practice (EBP) model: Selection, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation and Accountability. This position will coordinate the activities of the EBP core team members using the CHI project management methodology and tools. Develops procedures and provides written documentation, as needed, for projects. Provides leadership and process improvement subject matter expertise to project teams.
Key responsibilities in the 5 phases of EBP model:
ection phase: Participates in selection process and coordinates the management of the timelines for proposed EBP topics selection process.
nning phase: Develops or Creates the project plans and activities of the Evidence-based Practice Team, the Design Team Workgroups and Ad Hoc sub-groups and revises as appropriate to meet the changing needs and requirements of the scope, time and budget.
lementation phase: Executes project plans and manages toward quality outcomes on projects using approved methodologies and standard tools. .Evaluation: Lead the coordination of the metric evaluation reporting and project updates for both MBO and National level. ountability: Collaborate with the VP of Evidence-based Practice and Clinical Technology to ensure that project team is meeting the goals as directed .Tracks Issues for timely resolution and escalates for successful completion of tasks in a timely manner. Works cooperatively with Clinical Process Specialists to ensure deliverables are completed to meet assigned time lines. Identifies potential and actual project risks (i.e. non-compliance, scope control, missed deadlines/milestones etc.); devises and implements effective strategies and contingency plans to mitigate or resolve issues within scope authority.
Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred): Bachelors' degree in healthcare, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, - required Project Management Certification through PMI or other accredited institution- preferredMasters in related field - preferred
Experience (required and preferred): Seven years experience in a healthcare project management role- required. b. Must have demonstrated knowledge and/or skills in the following areas: required Ability to plan and manage and work on multiple projects at the same time Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
