Clinical Pharmacist - 3RD & W/E - Pharmacy Department: Pharmacy Schedule: Full time 36-40 hours (with benefits) Shift: Third Shift (Overnight) Hours: 40 Job Details: * Position Summary Permanently assigned to off-shift (evenings - 2ND Shift or nights - 3RD Shift) and may include working one or bothdays on weekends. Under the general direction of the Pharmacy Manager, Operations, or their designee, the Clinical Pharmacist reviewsdrug therapy, formulates recommendations based on current literature and established standards of practice,directly supervises supportive personnel serves as a resource for drug information; participates and directlysupervises the preparation and distribution of medications, and serves as a member of the healthcare team with theprescriber and direct caregiver. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. 2. Graduate of an ACCP accredited school/college of pharmacy is required. 3. Eligible or currently licensed in the State of Maine. 4. Work experience as a patient care pharmacist involved in patient monitoring and drug therapy review ispreferred. 5. Experience in an organized healthcare setting such as a hospital or home infusion pharmacy is preferred. 6. Analytical skills necessary to identify and resolve problems related to drug therapy. 7. Experience in the monitoring and consultation on drug therapy in patients of all age groups.
