CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST (CNS)-PATIENT CARE SERVICES-SPT-.800 FTE-64/PP-FIRST SHIFT-ST. JOSEPHS HOSThis position is located in WEST BEND, WI at St. Joseph's Hospital.** Summary: The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) possesses advanced knowledge of the science of nursing with an ability to assess, plan, and evaluate patients, nursing personnel, and organization/network domains. The CNS is a clinical expert in diagnosis, and treatment of illness, and the delivery of evidence-based care. Theory and research are foundational to CNS practice. CNSs operate within three overlapping spheres of influence; patient/client, nurses and nursing practice, and organizational systems. The CNS affects patient care by intervening in complex cases, providing support to nursing staff members, consulting, participating in multidisciplinary activities, designing and evaluating programs of care and working on projects at the unit, department, division, institution, or network levels. Education: Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing. Certification within clinical specialty area; Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse required. Licensure: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
