We are seeking an experienced RN to work as the full-time Clinical Coordinator for our ICU Department in our Framingham campus. The Monday-Friday schedule requires some flexibility with work hours during the week to meet the needs of various shifts. This position requires a current RN license in Massachusetts, a critical care background and management experience. Under the general supervision of the Nursing Director, the Clinical Coordinator assists in coordinating the work flow of the unit. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients in the following age groups: All ages; Neonate; Infancy; Toddler; Preschool; School age; Adolescent; Adult; Geriatric. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Management: Manages the clinical practice of the unit according to established standards of care and Hospital policies and procedures. Maintains staffing patterns and assumes responsibility for scheduling. Performs duties of staff nurse as needed. Maintains equipment. Communication/Collaboration: Meets with the Director and staff on a regular basis to ensure effective communication. Provides feedback to employees. Identifies, recommends and facilitates areas for continuous improvement. Acts as a liaison with other healthcare professionals, patients, and visitors. Responds to complaints in a timely manner and follows through to resolution. Resolves conflicts affecting the unit. Interprets and communicates departmental, nursing, and Hospital policies and procedures. Educational/Resources: Mentors staff and ensures competencies and educational needs are met. Contributes to the development of other health team members. Keeps current and informs staff of changes, issues and events within the Hospital. Ensures that staff members attend inservices and other educational programs as needed. Fiscal: Adheres to departmental budget. Monitors utilization and ordering of supplies and equipment. Assumes responsibility for payroll as needed. Human Resources: Interviews, evaluates, counsels, and disciplines staff in conjunction with the Nursing Director.
