Clinical Coordinator Department: Perinatology Schedule: Full time Shift: Days Hours: 80 hours biweekly Job Details: * Minimum of 3 years of experience * Supervisory experience * SUMMARY: The clinical coordinator demonstrates a fundamental understanding of management skills and principles with a desire to expand his/her knowledge and experience in the area of maternal fetal medicine. The individual must be able to work independently, prioritize projects, and anticipate and carry out additional duties with minimal supervision. Leadership skills are a must. The clinical coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient care and operational activities associated with the Saint Agnes Women's Center. The individual must interact well with patients and families, physicians, other health care professionals and departmental staff. Responsibilities include: acting as a resource for patient care, identifying the developmental needs of staff, coaching staff, and assisting in hiring and counseling staff. The coordinator has the authority necessary to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities and is accountable for the department's performance improvement, staffing, regulatory compliance and human resource. The coordinator will assist in planning and monitoring the departmental budget.
The incumbent carries out responsibilities in accordance with Ascension Health Core Values, St. Agnes policies/procedures and applicable civil laws and is accountable for efficient use of resources and support of the St. Agnes mission.
Required Education : RN Candidates : AA in nursing or Sonographer Candidates : Successful completion of programmatically accredited curriculum. All Candidates : BS/BA in nursing, health care administration, business or equivalent
Required License, Certification and/or Registration : RN candidates : Current license as a registered nurse in the State of Marylandor compact state. Current certification in CPR and advance fetal monitoring. Sonographer candidates : Current Registered Diagnostic Medical credentialing and CPR certification.
Required Experience : At least three (3) to five (5) years women's health experience and two (2) years of management experience.
Preferred Experience : At least one (1) year relevant experience in an obstetrical/perinatology outpatient setting. At least three (3) year in a leadership, management or supervisory role.
Supervises : Registered nurses, sonographers, medical assistants, and clerical staff. HJ
