Department Description: The Center for Ostepathic Health Care is lcoated on Mound Rd, just south of 24 Mile Rd in Shelby Township. Job Summary: Under limited supervision, performs a variety of clerical and/or clinical functions associated with patient care, registration, billing, scheduling, and maintenance of medical records. Required: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) Graduate of a Medical Assistant Certification program and/or graduate of a certified EMT program
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to medical terminology Knowledge of proper blood drawing techniques and injection techniques as well as medical office procedures (i.e. EKG, vital signs)Demonstrate accuracy in preparation and maintenance of charts
Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant 6 months previous medical office experience
