JOB TITLE: Clinic Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist
Position Purpose
To collect and expedite lab specimens for diagnostic tests in a safe and efficient manner. Provides quality patient care by assisting the physician in examinations and treatment.
Responsibilities
--Effectively utilizes aseptic technique and technical skills while performing specimum collection on patients in all age groups
--Communicates and documents patient information in an accurate and timely manner
--Effectively assists/prepared provider to ensure safe patient care, customer satisfaction, provider efficiency, and provider satisfaction
--Prepares and maintains samples/specimens to ensure integrity of the specimens for lab processing; completes all waived lab testing
--Practices internal and external customer relations in a professional manner to enhance the customer experience
Qualifications
--Graduate of accredited medical assistant program, or military equivalent, or demonstrated skills in capacity for at least one year
--Demonstrated skills in EKG and Phlebotomy REQUIRED
--Healthcare Provider CPR Certification by the American Heart Association required
