Chief Cat Scan Technologist
Full-Time
This position shows sound knowledge and proficiency in the use of Diagnostic Imaging Techniques to best demonstrate patient disorders. Prioritizes and organizes patient flow to ensure best utilization of time. Is given general guidance and is expected to function with initiative and sound judgement to provide quality services. Demonstrates effective safety practices. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and Medical Staff. Demonstrates competence when performing other related or licensed functions.
Sets appropriate priorities for care, assessing the complexity of the patients condition and the required care to be delivered. Operates all equipment with safety to self and patient. Reports malfunctioning equipment to supervisor/manager/engineering department. Logs each equipment problem into GE Cares system to ensure prompt service. Responsible for verifying (charging) work performed, checking patient list each day to ensure appropriate charges have been entered; participating in qualityimprovement processes (film count; quality review; filming protocols).
Qualifications:
Requirements:
High School Diplima required
Bachelor Degree preferred
Certified as a AART and CT certified required
3-5 years of supervisory experience required
Prior hospital experience required, experience in Trauma preferred
