Job Summary:

The Chargemaster Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring the integrity of Chargemaster and related processes.  This individual will lead the Chargemaster Support Analyst(s) in working with Shared Service Center facilities to conduct daily maintenance and monthly or as needed Chargemaster reviews, ensuring recommendations comply with Federal guidelines, Corporate standards and implementing appropriate changes.  As a Manager, this individual must demonstrate strong commitment to stakeholder relationships by taking ownership of issues and facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner.

 Ensure proper maintenance of  Chargemaster and related processes
 Review Chargemaster in cooperation with Revenue Integrity, Health Information Management,     Billing, Ancillary Department heads, Finance and Administration to ensure compliance and appropriate statement of revenue
 Evaluate current charge mechanisms and systems (e.g. OR module, Smart, Radiology module, Pharmacy module) to assess efficiency and effectiveness of charge capture
 Provide for an electronic audit trail for Chargemaster changes, additions and deletions
 Coordinate with department managers to identify trends and address issues related to appropriate charge capture
 Analyze Chargemaster statistics on monthly basis and perform associated analyses
 Review results of periodic audits and take appropriate action as indicated
 Evaluate education needs related to Chargemaster and conduct staff and customer in-services

Requirements:

CCS required
Bachelors degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or similar is preferred
Minimum 4 years related work experience required, preferably in Chargemaster or Revenue Integrity
Coding certification preferred
Understanding of Pharmacy Meditech module and Smart a plus
Chart/Bill audit experience helpful
Understanding of hospital billing, revenue cycle and     reimbursement required
Compliance and coding background preferred
Knowledge and experience with HCA Meditech, Patient Accounting
