Certified Medical Assistant Department: MedStar Medical Group at K Street Schedule: Full time hourly with Benefits Shift: Hours: Job Details: Qualified candidate for a busy physician practice located on K Street in DC. This position includes both clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory setting under supervision of a physician. Duties may include venipuncture, documentation of vital signs, and assisting physicians with patient exams. Requirements include: -High School Diploma or equivalent -Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program -RMA/CMA certification Current RMA or CMA certification preferred. Candidates who are otherwise qualified have 6 months from date of hire to acquire RMA or CMA certification. -CPR certification -Externship experience in a medical office or ambulatory health environment -Excellent customer service skills Additionally, knowledge of front and back office duties is preferred. Experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
