Certified Medical Assistant - Floating Department: Metropolitan @ Good Sam Schedule: Full time hourly with Benefits Shift: Day shift Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Job Details: MedStar Physician Partners seeks a qualified candidate for a busy physician practice located on the campus of Good Samaritan Hospital Center. This position includes both clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory setting under supervision of a physician. Duties may include venipuncture, documentation of vital signs, and assisting physicians with patient exams. Multi-Specialty a plus;must travel between Good Samaritan Hospital, Union Memorial Hospital, and a physician office in Abingdon. Requirements include: -High School Diploma or equivalent -Completion of an approve Medical Assistant program -RMA/CMA certification Current RMA or CMA certification preferred. Candidates who are otherwise qualified have 6 months from date of hire to acquire RMA or CMA certification. -CPR certification -Externship experience in a medical office or ambulatory health environment -Excellent customer service skills Additionally, knowledge of front and back office duties is preferred. Experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
