Central Education Specialist Facility: Covenant HealthCare, Saginaw, MI Department: Central Education Job Req #: 15694 Schedule: Full Time Shift: Day shift Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm No Weekends Required Job Details: This individual is responsible for improving the quality of patient care delivered through education and collaboration with the health care team. As a centralized educator, the CES plans implements and evaluates general patient services orientation, in-service education and continuing education activities. The CES acts as a change agent, professional role model, mentors new staff, and nursing practice and patient advocate. The CES coordinates organizational/departmental educational activities as assigned. The CES works within the framework of Covenant's mission, vision, values and strategic business plan while supporting the goals and objectives of the Division of Patient Services. Demonstrates knowledge and competence in providing care as well as the ability to lead staff caring for patients.
Education/Licensure/Certification: * Current Michigan licensure to practices as a RN * Bachelor Degree * BLS and ACLS Instructor [required within 6 months] * Certification in nursing staff development and continuing education preferred
Experience required: * A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience and 2 years of education experience
