Cardiac Ultrasound Tech - 1580 Department: Heart Station LVH-M 711 Schedule: part time 24 hours per week Shift: day/evening shift Hours: variable Req Number: 32427 Job Details: Operates cardiac ultrasound equipment in order to provide optimal cardiac ultrasound studies according to the Health Care Associates, P.C. protocol. Includes patient scheduling and prioritization, technical ability, documentation, and follow-up. Collaborates with other staff and physicians for optimal patient care. Operates other cardiac equipment as needed. Experience in Stress Echo mandatory. Thorough knowledge of cardiac ultrasound physics, cardiac anatomy and physiology. Demonstrates eye-hand coordination, mechanical and analytical aptitude. Demonstrates initiative and is able to function independently as well as interdependently. Demonstrates ability to interact and communicate effectively with physicians, patients and hospital staff. Ability to transport ultrasound equipment to other office locations. Successful completion of formal education and/or on-the-job training in Cardiac Ultrasound is required. Preferred candidate will be Registered/Certified in a recognized national cardiac association. If not currently Registered, must obtain Registration within one year of being hired. Minimum of one (1) year experience performing 2D, M mode, Doppler, and echocardiography is preferred.
