Here at WakeMed, our CV Testing department has state of the art equipment where the Cardiac Sonographer performs normal and abnormal Cardiac anatomy/physiology and pathophysiciology and must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of Ultrasound equipment to visualize and record quality images of the structures of the Cardiovascular system in accordance with established guidelines and departmental policies and procedures. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values and management of the division of Cardiovascular Services.
Experience Requirements :
Minimum of one year of Adult/Pediatric ultrasound experience required. Pediatric Cardiac Ultrasound experience preferred.
Education Requirements :
Requires Graduate of an AMA approved School of Cardiovascular Sonography -OR- Associate Degree in related technical specialty program, i.e.. Nursing/Radiology.
Licensure/Certification Requirements :
ARDMS, RCS, or other related registry/certification. Registry or registry eligible within one (1) year of hire date.
