Bilingual Medical Assistant - HCE Department: MSO Community Health Center Schedule: Regular Full-time (40 hours per week) Shift: Day shift, 8-4:30p - Monday thru Friday Hours: Req# 1722 Job Details: Objective:To assist the physician by performing various duties such as taking patient vital signs, performing phlebotomy and completing clerical, billing, and receptionist tasks. Location: MSO COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER (238159) Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Must be bilingual speaking in Spanish/English. Documentation of certification from an accredited medical assistant training program preferred. Prefer certified Medical Assistant with previous physician office experience. At least one year experience in a medical office setting required. Veni-puncture, vital signs, injections, and excellent follow-up skills are critical. Experience operating multi-line phone systems, fax machines, photocopiers, PC's credit card machines, glucometers, EKG machines and other medical equipment as required by the medical practice is required. Current American Heart Association - Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification required.
