Kelly IT is currently assisting our Global North Houston client with a challenging opportunity for a Business Applications Analyst - SD for their Global Information Technology Division at their Corporate Administrative Headquarters.
Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: • Evaluate, handle and resolve the regional and global business problems, concerning SAP R/3 functionality, in such a way that the problems are always registered, confirmed to the business, carried out within th expected timeframe according to the agreed budget. Ensure that the actions and solutions are communicated via the available tools. • Full responsibility for identification, changes, testing, documentation, approval and communication of any modification to the application area in their control that will have an impact globally. • Design detailed business and, wherever possible, technical specifications to programming and other resources, both in house and 3rd party. Assist in the development of the business case for the change. • Act as a gatekeeper for all global developments prior to them being transported to Production environment. • Responsibility for supervision of internal and 3rd party functional support. • Ensure proactive investigation and communication to the business about improvements and developments within SAP R/3, which lead to a more effective use of the SAP functionality.
General Responsibilities:
• Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. • Assists other employees in accomplishment of company goals. • Participates in and completes company-required training programs. • Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
Education and Work Experience Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Information Technology with 3+ years specific experience. • Bachelor's Degree may be substituted with additional relevant experience (3+ years) on a year for year basis. • Incumbent must have a minimum of 3 years SAP post go live support experience in a functional role. The incumbent must have also completed one full life cycle implementation of SAP. Experience working in a fast paced multi-platform SAP environment is highly desirable.
Special Qualifications (Training, Technical skills, etc.): • Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs. • Must have in-depth SAP functional, technical and configuration knowledge of the Sales & Distribution Logistics Execution module.
