City Baton Rouge Department Information Systems
Description Independently supports critical system processes on an as needed basis. Responsible for interdepartmental use of assigned Meditech Modules. Acts as liaison between the user, programming, and operations for assigned modules. Ensures system security and system data integrity through menu and dictionary maintenance. Analyzes changes and enhancements to modules and determines their effect on other modules and interfaced systems. Works closely with other Applications Consultants, users, and departments. Also works with outside agencies such as insurance carriers, regulatory agencies, and independent consulting and research groups, as required. Performs other duties assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital Requirements Minimum Education: Undergraduate degree with course work in computer science preferred.
Minimum Work Experience: Requires three years experience in a business or hospital information systems setting.
Job Knowledge: Requires knowledge of relational databases, applications systems and Mircosoft Office. Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical operations in preferred. Requires excellent communication skills.
