Position Objective:
Working closely with the Internal Communications Leader (Global) and the Human Resources Lead (Asia Pacific), this role will assist in the development, coordination and execution of employee communication mechanisms, projects and events throughout Asia Pacific. Ensure that messaging aligns with overall company-wide internal communications strategy across regions. Assist regions and target countries with employee- facing communications; provide counsel on strategic communications functions; ensure consistency of messages across the company aligned with the overall internal communications plan.
Essential Functions:
The role will primarily support internal communication initiatives regionally that drive a common company culture and link employees to business objectives. Responsibilities include:
Maintaining and enhancing internal employee news and communication programs for corporate-wide messaging, including creating content for, managing translation and local dissemination of a biweekly global bulletin and monthly manager-focused bulletin.
Conduct formal and informal employee activities related to internal branding and information sharing.
Collaborating with functions within HR and other corporate functions to develop editorial content and special communication programs, such as benefits communications that align with any overall global programs, if applicable.
Assisting with the management and execution of the company’s employer/recruitment brand
Developing content for the company’s intranet homepage and regionalizing content for any region-specific community pages.
Managing content editors/community managers for the any regional intranet communities
Writing, editing and managing dissemination of organizational announcements accordingly to internal communications standards
Assisting with the development and implementation of communication plans relating to organizational change and business-related employee communication plans for the region
Preparing materials for key meetings, executive memos, presentations, Q&A documents, fact sheets, articles, online memos, speeches as required
Managing site-wide employee events at satellite offices
Assisting with content planning and production of annual Regional Leadership Meeting
Serving as liaison to global internal communications team
May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Skills Required:
Outstanding writing and editing skills
Excellent communication skills, including articulating, listening and questioning skills
Demonstrated skills in communication strategy/planning, project management, budget management, vendor management and global perspective/cultural sensitivity
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal/relationship skills with the ability to work well with a wide range of people in a fast- paced environment
Comfortable with ambiguity and working at a rapid pace in a high growth company
Ability to provide creative solutions.
Good written and spoken English and Mandarin.
Nature and Scope:
Participates with other team members to assist with communication plans and objectives. The job encounters work situations of moderate scope requiring an analysis of a variety of factors. Incumbent exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices determine action. The incumbent normally receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
Education:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or comparable field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience.
Experience:
Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years experience in an internal/employee communications function.
Process experience should include developing comprehensive integrated communications material that addresses multiple audiences through a variety of channels in a multinational company.
Proven ability to operate on tactical level on employee communications initiatives.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and slide presentations required.
