Adherence Care Manager-Per Diem
Title: Adherence Care Manager-Per Diem Location: Boston-Menino Pavilion
Under the direction of the Principal Investigators, the Adherence Care Manager (ACM) will coordinate all adherence counseling activities for study subjects randomized to the intervention arm of the study and flagged as needing ACM intervention. Responsibilities include calling via the telephone (weekly phone calls for 4 weeks) the subjects identified as needing ACM intervention, documenting the details of the adherence intervention(s), tracking the lost-to-follow-up subjects referred to the ACM and the reasons for being lost to follow-up, providing status reports to the research study team on the ACM progress weekly, participating in study presentations and publications, and other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal Investigators.
* Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent required. * Minimum 5-7 years of experience in management of HIV drug therapy and adherence. * Current license to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. * Ability to work and solve problems both independently and in collaboration with others * Strong interpersonal skills - ability to interact effectively with providers (physicians, residents, fellows, nurses), patients, students, investigators, and administrators * Up-to-date continuing education in HIV/AIDS pharmacology
