Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedics Department: Clinical Services and Care Coordination Schedule: Full time Shift: Day Shift Hours: Monday - Friday/4-10 hr days/one Saturday a month Minimum Hourly Rate: 36.322 Job Details: * GENERAL SUMMARY Nurse practitioner to manage orthopedic patients inpatient as well as in the clinic setting in collaboration with physicians and other NPs. The Practitioner assesses, plans, implements and evaluates an appropriate plan of care including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. The practitioner will also provide family-centered care to meet family needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. MS in Nursing with current Ohiolicensure (or ability to obtain transfer); Satisfactory completion of a PNP; prefer Acute Care Program certification; Certificate of Authority to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Ohio; Requires prescriptive authority; Orthopedic experience preferred; Must possess excellent leadership, interpersonal skills with an advanced level of critical thinking and decision making abilities. MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Must be able to see, hear, stand, walk, speak, read and perform manual tasks with or without accommodation, and care for oneself with little or no difficulty. 2. Must be able to independently lift up to 25lbs. 3. Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person(s) and /or equipment.
