Essential/Primary Duties, Functions and Responsibilities General Ledger Close * Work with team to close the accounting books on a monthly basis, which includes analyzing, preparing, and inputting general journal entries * Responsible for various complex monthly accruals * Responsible for monthly allocations to allocate overhead and other costs * Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts * Responsible for G/L Reconciliation binders Cash/Bank Reconciliation * Record all expense transactions related to the operating cash account in the Cash Module of the ERP system * Upload and confirm Positive Pay * Record monthly deposits of checks and incoming funds from related to stock option exercises * Reconcile the operating cash accounts for Onyx and its subsidiaries on a monthly basis * Reconcile foreign currency transactions Other * Support data requests as required for the quarterly reviews and annual audit * Ensure SOX 404 compliance, including updating documentation and support testing activities in related areas as required * Assist in the preparation of disclosures needed to complete Form 10Q’s and 10K’s * Assist in writing and reviewing accounting policies and procedures * Other Duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS Work Experience: * 3-6 years of public accounting and corporate accounting experience, preferably in a biotech/biopharma setting * Experience in multi-national / multi-location setting * Working knowledge of SEC and Edgar requirementsFunctional/Technical Knowledge & Skills * Strong knowledge of GAAP and FASB rules. * Masterful Excel spreadsheet skills and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and TM1 * Must have demonstrated Process Improvement experienceEducation/Training: * Requires a BS/BA with Accounting or Finance majorLicense/Certification Required: * CPA Preferred
