Electrical Assoc to Engineer II(Largo, FL) Apply Qualifications:Bachelor''s and 1 years'' experience Pay/Labor Grade:(not specified) Salary:(not specified) Paid Relocation Offered:N Function: The position could range from an Associate Engineer to a Senior Engineer depending on the successful candidate''s background, skills and experience. Description of Duties/Qualifications -Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad area of assignments. Works under the general supervision of a higher level engineering or research executive. Perform engineering duties in planning and designing medical devices; including instruments and implants for sports medicine applications. Familiar with a variety of the mechanical engineering field''s concepts, practices, and procedures. Has a strong grasp of good design principles. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
-Schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications -Performs detailed or routine engineering assignments -Maintains as the liaison with various departments -Reviews progress and evaluates results -Makes changes in methods, design or equipment where necessary -May supervise technical individual contributors -Ability to process engineering data, translate and/or derive customer requirements to engineering specifications; Ability to plan, conduct and supervise engineering assignments involving several smaller or lower priority projects or one major project; Works with cross-functional teams and under minimal supervision of supervisor; has some latitude for un-reviewed action.
-Ability to conduct root-cause investigation and recommend corrective action for design issues in existing products; Ability to write and advise others of the testing requirements; Ability to check and/or create design specifications; Knowledge of Computer Aided Design and office software applications.
-Four year degree minimum in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, -Advanced Degree in Engineering preferred
-Experience in medical devise design and development is preferred. Hands-on experience with Analog/Digital Circuit, electro-mechanical drivers and various types of sensor design is required. -Experience with digital design tools like emulators, logic analyzers and oscilloscopes are required -The engineer should have strong experience with the following standards; IEC 60601 Basic Safety 2nd and 3rd edition, ISO 14971 Risk Management, ISO 13485 Quality management systems, MDD Medical Device Directives, FDA, QSR, RoHS, WEEE standards, -Experience with electrical engineering CAD tools and OrCAD experience is preferred.
