Fremont is a 96 bed acute psychiatric hospital situated
in the heart of the bay area. We are a mid-sized
facility filled with diversity and the feel of a close

We currently seek an experienced Health Information
Management (HIM) leader for our Directors position.

The Health Information Management Services Director is
responsible for directing the activities of the Health
Information Management Department and the management and
maintenance of all patient medical records information,
ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws,
rules/regulations of licensing agencies that adhere to
Joint Commission standards for the quality of patient
care.
Provides oversight and guidance to staff of the function
for the department and will be responsible for overall
departmental budgeting and operations.
Requirements:
* A Bachelors Degree in information
management/medical records, required.
* Minimum of five (5) years leadership experience in
information management, required, with direct
experience in a behavioral health/psychiatric
facility, preferred.
* Certification accreditation as a medical record
professional, Registered Health Information
Technologist (RHIT) or Registered Health Information
Administrator (RHIA), as determined by the American
Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
preferred.
* Thorough knowledge of medical records coding and
medical terminology, required.
* May be required to work variable hours when needed.
