Senior Systems Administrator II - SAS Programmer - Summit, NJ
Title: Senior Systems Administrator II - SAS Programmer - Summit, NJ Location: North America-New Jersey-Summit This position is for a SAS Programmer in the Analytical Development Specialty and Informatics department. The SAS Programmer is responsible for meeting reporting needs for the Data Management function under the Global Commercialization and Supply Organization at a Client Site in Summit NJ. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong scientific knowledge and SAS programming skills (in SAS/Base and SAS Macros, SAS/STAT and SAS/Graph) are required. Incumbent will work closely with project team to assure quality data and deliverables.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Designing, coding and executing of SAS codes used to analyze, graph and report analytical data for regulatory submissions * Providing documentation of programs and projects adhering to regulatory and company standards * Development of SAS edit checks for data cleaning * Perform standard statistical analyses for shelf-life estimation. * Extracting and merging data to generate standard CMC CTD data tables * Perform ad-hoc data reporting e.g. statistical analyses, metrics, plots * Adhere to SOPs and GMP regulations
Education and Experience: * BS degree in Computer Science or related area, or an equivalent combination of education, professional training and experience that provide the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities - a higher degree is preferred. * 8 years of computer experience * 3-5 years programming experience with analytical or clinical trial data and preparing programming and test documentation is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Prior work experience with Pharmaceutical industry is required (GMP experience). * Good understanding of system development life cycles, GMP, and related regulatory guidelines. * Proven ability to work in a very dynamic organization with minimum supervision with good judgment and sound decision making skills. * Detail Oriented with demonstrated ability to solve analytical and technical problems. * Business focused approach with strong interpersonal skills * Demonstrated ability to take IT engineering designs and convert them into operational services * Must be able to multi task and pay close attention to detail * Positive attitude with a commitment to a high quality of work * Demonstrate a competency to learn new technical skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills PPD is an Equal Opportunity Employer
